How much does it cost?
FEES
Fees are much lower than the recommended fee set by The Australian Psychological Society of $218 per 1 hour. The consultation fee at Melbourne Metro Psychology is $125.00 per session. All fees are payable at the time of consultation or for Skype sessions payable prior to the session.
No referral is require unless you wish to claim on Medicare.
CANCELLATION FEES
Unfortunately a cancellation fee will be charged if you give less than 24 hours notice of cancellation. Practice expenses need to be covered and your appointment could be allocated to another person if you give enough notice.
Duration
A session lasts for approximately one hour.

Skype
Psychological treatment using Skype is available by request with Dr. Peter Eide. This method of counselling is ideal for people who are not abel to attend face-to-face sessions.
Some benefits of Skype couselling are:
- Allows time poor business people to access psychological services
- For privacy reasons you prefer not to speak with a psychological face-to-face
- Maintains confidentiality in small communities
- Non-threatening for young people who are computer savvy
No referral is necessary for these session, simply call to discuss or organize a session time. The Skype session are payable prior to the commencement of treatment and you will not be able to claim a Medicare rebate.
MEDICARE REBATE (optional)
A Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions is available if you have a GP referral (including a Mental Health Treatment Plan). If you don't have a regular GP we can recommend several who provide a high quality service.
