Peter Eide
Peter's counselling experience includes crisis telephone counselling service, a specialist youth mental health service and an alcohol and drug treatment centre.
For the last few years he has been working in private practice and has gained experience helping to treat people with various psychological problems such as Mood disorders (depression, post-natal depression and bipolar disorder), Anxiety disorders (panic attacks, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, post traumatic disorder), Schizophrenia (and other psychotic disorders), Addiction (alcohol, drug and internet), assertiveness, personality disorders, sleep problems.
Peter has completed a PhD at Swinburne University of Technology (Brain Sciences Institute) exploring cognitive processes, personality profile and brain imaging in patients with depression. He has also completed an undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Applied Science co-majoring in Psychology and Psychophysiology.
